I joined the Foundation in June 2025, hoping to use my strong background in funding and charity governance, to further develop the amazing work that the Foundation does.
Quick summary of your role
As Pets Foundation Manager, I lead our strategic direction and work closely with our brilliant Foundation team to ensure our funding and activities have lasting impact across the animal welfare sector.
What do you love most about working at Pets Foundation?
I’m just getting started in this fantastic new role, but even after a month, I’m already inspired by the dedication of our Foundation team, the passion of our store colleagues, and the generosity of our supporters. I can’t wait to visit rescues and funded projects to see the difference our support makes firsthand.
What pet do you have at home?
Nellie, my black and white sprocker spaniel, is never far from my side! She’s also loving our new life at Pets at Home, where dogs are welcome in the office. We’ve been busy exploring the pet play park, toy cupboard, and pet tuck shop - it's a fantastic workplace for both of us!
What’s your favourite type of pet?
Dogs have always had a special place in my heart. They’re loyal, full of personality, and just brilliant company. I love heading out into the Peak District with Nellie - she’s always up for an adventure, and those walks are the best way to clear your head. Honestly, it’s hard to have a bad day when you’ve got a dog trotting along beside you.
What is your most memorable rescue experience?
I can't wait to share a favourite memory once I have a few visits under my belt. Watch this space!
What are you most excited for this year at the Foundation?
There’s so much to learn in my first year, but I’m already excited about building on the amazing work the Foundation has done. I’m looking forward to exploring new ways we can grow our impact and continue delivering on our mission to create a better world for pets and the people who love them.
Where are you most likely to be found in your job?
No two days are the same so far! I could be in the office with the team, working from home, visiting rescues, or out in stores connecting with our amazing colleagues and supporters.
