Asia P

Job title
Grant Operations Coordinator
Time at the charity
I joined the team in June 2020.
Quick summary of your role
I help to look after our grant funding programmes. I guide applicants from their initial enquiry, through their application process, to putting everything together for our Trustees so they can decide on who and what to fund. I then do everything needed after an application, including sending outcome letters, keeping in contact with multi-year grant recipients and reviewing evaluations.
What do you love most about working at Pets Foundation?
Being able to make a difference to organisations of all shapes and sizes and helping them to continue all the amazing work that they do!
What pet do you have at home?
I have a beautiful lab called Marlo, aka Marshmarlo. He is equal amounts of loveable and bonkers. He’s my little shadow until someone with food comes along!
What’s your favourite type of pet?
I love all types of pets, from dogs and cats to lizards and budgies.
What is your most memorable rescue experience?
The first rescue I visited in ‘real life’ was Woodlands Animal Sanctuary. If you ask anyone on the team, the first visit will always hold a special place in your heart. I got to cuddle cats and kittens, groom the horses, and was even taken for a walk by their resident donkey Beanie!
What are you most excited for this year at the Foundation?
The reopening of our Pets Assisting People and Preventing Pet Relinquishment Grant Programmes and continuing to support pets and the people who love them.
Where are you most likely to be found in your job?
Getting as many dog cuddles as I can squeeze in, or on a brew run. There’s always time for tea!
