Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary

Only a few miles from Lizard Point, Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary is the most Southern rescue that Pets Foundation has visited in quite some time!

The team at Bolenowe are passionate about caring for the horses, ponies and other animals in their care. The team make sure all the animals receive veterinary care, and work to rehabilitate them to  In addition to making sure the animals all receive necessary veterinary treatment, the team works closely with the horses and ponies to help build their confidence and get used to the life they’ll have once they are rehomed.

In November 2018 Bolenowe Animal Sanctuary received £14,890 from Pets Foundation to help with their vet bills and to buy a horse box. Not only is this for collecting vulnerable horses, but it will also be used to build the confidence of more nervous horses and ponies, helping them get used to loading on and off a horse box – just like Danny the Shetland pony!
