Rescue Centre Grants
We provide funding to organisations whose main activity is the rescue and rehoming of UK pets.
How much do we fund?
We provide grants from £250 upwards; our biggest rescue grant last year was £189,000 towards an onsite veterinary facility.
What do we fund?
We fund the following:
- Vet bills
- Boarding fees
- Trap and neuter schemes
- Food
- Equipment
- Vehicles
- Building work
- Utility bills
How often are grants reviewed?
Decisions are made on a monthly basis, with larger sums (over £75k) reviewed three times a year
How often can we apply?
12 months must have elapsed since your charity last received funds from the Pets Foundation (aka Pets at Home Foundation)

- Make sure you’ve included all the supporting evidence required before submitting your application. For all applications this includes recent financial details for your organisation; additional guidance is below. Please don't hesitate to get in touch if you have any further questions regarding supporting evidence.
- We may also ask if we can conduct a visit – virtual or in person! In order to learn more about your work and the way you operate.
